- We hold BSi ISO 450001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management and ISO 9001:2008 National Highways Sector Scheme 16 for the 'Laying of Asphalt mixes'.

No. Whilst we have a long standing partnership with National Highways and work on many of the 2,000+ miles of motorways in the UK- that’s not all we do.
We work alongside local authorities and main contractors on other major and minor road surfacing projects across the country. The civils and infrastructure division of our business (formally Spadeok) enables us to expand into speciflist surfacing, civils and sports pitches.

In 2006, Holcim acquired the Spadeoak business, which continued to operate under the Spadeoak brand until recently. Starting in March 2025, Spadeoak officially transitioned to the Holcim name and now operates as part of our civil and infrastructure division. This rebrand will enable us to build on our expertise and capacity in this field, leveraging the 45+ years of experience gained by our dedicated team members.
